Scenario Planning and Analysis is a vital tool in the Corporate Finance toolkit. The pace of change and the level of uncertainty have obsoleted single-point projections. Beyond framing potential outcomes, scenario analysis enables the organization to be prepared for potential events or outcomes that require a course correction. This session presents the basics and best practices in applying scenario analysis, including the objectives of scenario analysis, identifying alternative scenarios, evaluating and presenting scenarios, monitoring critical assumptions and identifying triggers requiring action.
Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the need for scenario analysis in todays' environment
  • Understand how scenario analysis should be a critical element of all plans, projections and investments
  • Learn how to create and evaluate scenarios.
  • Learn how to monitor critical assumptions and drivers
